Bergamasca IGT Red ---

Bergamo's wine production is not limited to Denominations of Origin, but also includes a Typical Geographic Indication: Bergamasca. Specifically, vineyard rows extend for about seventy kilometers from the Adda river to Lake Iseo, as well as in hilly areas such as Valle Cavallina, the lower Valle Camonica from Lovere to Rogno, the western shore of Lake Iseo, Valle Seriana and Valle Brembana, all naturally in Bergamo territory. Bergamasca IGT red wine must be composed of at least 85% grape varieties authorized for the province of Bergamo, and the regulations govern its various production phases including an alcohol content of 11°. This wine has a ruby red color, and the suggested pairings are meats and more elaborate dishes.
