Brasato e polenta is a typical dish of Bergamo cuisine, and is both a delicious second course and a complete meal in itself. For the brasato, beef is used, usually veal, which is cooked slowly and over low heat, after being marinated, to obtain succulent morsels full of flavor. The long, but easy, preparation of the meat and polenta results in a perfect combination of flavors particularly suited to cold days but that can be enjoyed throughout the year.
