The Roman Road ---

At the corner between via Vagine and via Tassis, remains of a paved road section and networks of masonry structures were discovered. The construction of the road dates back to the first decades of the 1st century A.D.: materials were found in the preparation levels of the road surface, which also confirm human settlement from the late Republican age. On via Tassis, a section of a parallel road was discovered: the two roads perhaps delimited a block closed to the south by via Colleoni.
