The street is accessed at the corner of a tower house, overlooking Via Astino. The initial stretch is gentle, but then, after passing Via del Celtro (from the dialect selter and the Latin ciltrum meaning arch), it becomes narrow and slightly steeper, eventually turning into a paved staircase that ends on an asphalt road connecting with Via Sudorno (a medieval place name referring to the cult of the god Saturn).
