WHAT AWAITS YOU The National Landscape Prize from the Ministry of Culture was awarded in 2021 to the Valley of Astino, Biodiversity within the city: Bergamo's Val d'Astino. This corner of Bergamo will thus be able to compete for the European Landscape Prize, announced by the Council of Europe. A circular walk through the valley will allow you to appreciate its natural aspects, historical features such as the Church of Santo Sepolcro, the adjoining former Vallombrosani monastery expertly restored and the farmhouses of a typical agricultural environment, the section of the Lorenzo Rota Botanical Garden where biodiversity is cultivated.
