Fountain of S. Michele al Pozzo Bianco ---
The profile of the arch denotes a nineteenth-century neoclassical character. Beneath the stone facing, however, an older architectural structure can be discerned, namely the arrangement of the rear collection chamber typical of medieval fountains. It was fed by the aqueduct of Prato Baglioni, which also supplied the nearby fountain on via Osmano. Going up via Porta Dipinta towards the church of S. Michele, just a few meters from the fountain you can find a circular manhole cover that marks the exact position of the ancient Pozzo Bianco, probably named so for the use of local marble, coming from the nearby quarries of Zandobbio.
