Antescolis Fountain ---

According to the statute of 1251, the only vicinia among the seventeen existing ones that did not bear the name of a church was that of "Antescolis", probably named this way because it stood in front of the school building, which was the seat of the meetings of the three consuls of the vicinia. A peculiarity of this fountain, despite being structurally quite similar overall to the others, is that it is constituted frontally by two arches instead of just one, connected by a transverse arch.
