Palazzo del Podestà Casa Suardi ---
Built by the Suardi family in the mid-14th century, it later became the property of the Consorzio della Misericordia and the Avogadro family, and served from 1428 to 1797 as the seat of the Podestà of Bergamo, the highest representative of the Venetian State in the city. In 1477 the façade was decorated with frescoes by Donato Bramante, whose few surviving fragments are now preserved in the Salone delle Capriate of the Palazzo della Ragione. Over time the Palace underwent numerous alterations and served various functions.
