The Castello degli Angeli wine project was a pioneer of biodynamic philosophy based on respect for mankind, time and earth, principles that remain fundamental to production today. Studies, ambitions and desires led owner Dr. Taiariol and visionary oenologist Prof. Zierock in 1996 to experiment with grape varieties unprecedented in the Bergamo area, drawing inspiration from great French wines. This created one of the most extreme vineyards in Lombardy: 1.8 hectares of vineyards with slopes up to 45%, dry stone walls and a density of approximately 11,000 vines per hectare.
