Villa Grismondi Finardi ---

Born as a country house, or perhaps in ancient times as a fortified place, it still presents the dual aspect of an eighteenth-century holiday villa and an ancient farmhouse with stables, wine cellars and riding stables around a rustic courtyard overlooked by an old farmhouse characterized by a portico and loggias with remains of ancient sacred frescoes from the medieval period. The manor house was restored between 1855 and 1858 by architect Giacomo Bianconi who gave it a sober and essential exterior, in stark contrast with the splendor of the interior decoration: on the lower floor the halls are characterized by barrel vaults decorated by Scrosati with ornamental motifs of draperies, precious stones, medallions with figures or genre scenes, frames with bucolic landscapes, musical instruments
