Stretching 450 meters with a 109-meter elevation change and 265 steps, it has been used since the 1400s to reach orchards and vineyards. The name derives from a spring, already mentioned in the 11th century, located in an area cultivated with broli (that is, vegetable gardens and fruit orchards). After the first section, it continues steeply towards Borgo Canale, which it reaches first by branching into the two ramps of Fontanabrolo and Ortolani, then through the Vicolo dei Gradini.
