Sant'Agostino Reservoir ---
To address water shortages and drought, at the end of the nineteenth century the Bondo Petello aqueduct was built, a 13 km pipeline coming from Valle Seriana. The Sant'Agostino reservoir, constructed in 1881, collected and redistributed water throughout the Lower City. Subsequently, in 1889, a pump was activated from the large cistern capable of supplying the fountains of Upper City as well. In the following decades, characterized by strong population growth, starting from 1912 the existing reservoir and water network were used to introduce a second aqueduct coming from the locality of Algua, in Valle Brembana.
