Seminarino ---
In 1563, the Council of Trent initiated the reform of the Catholic Church based on a more solid formation of the clergy to be implemented through the establishment of seminaries. This building, constructed between 1567 and 1573 and enlarged in the seventeenth century, was the seat for two and a half centuries of the episcopal seminary, now instead located on the opposite side of the Città Alta on the hill of San Giovanni. It is accessed through a Baroque portal from 1689 and the internal courtyard is equipped with a high portico with an overlying loggia above it.
