Located in the Piani dell'Alben area, in Val Taleggio, Rifugio Gherardi sits at 1650m and is managed by volunteer members of Alpi Ande Due from Operazione Mato Grosso, who ensure good catering and accommodation services. Expenses excluded, proceeds are donated to the hospital in Chacas, Peru. A relatively easy excursion on trail 120, which departs from Quindicina di Pizzino, for about an hour of walking, ideal for beginners. The environment is gentle and free from danger: there are vast green meadows where you can play or lie down and admire the very extensive panorama over the entire valley and plain.
