From convent to economic and exhibition hub hosting important art exhibitions: the history of Palazzo Creberg has truly changed over the centuries! Built in 1427 by the Franciscan Friars together with the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, it has served various purposes: it was a shelter for the poor and also a military hospital during World War I. In 1928 it became the headquarters of the Piccolo Credito Bergamasco, a banking institute that remains one of the city's landmark institutions to this day, though now under a different name (Banco BPM).
