Maslana Flora and Fauna Observatory ---

Born out of passion and managed with passion, the Maslana Observatory is located in Valbondione at 1340 meters above sea level: an ideal vantage point if you wish to admire the peaks and mountain lakes that surround it. The Observatory is built with local materials on the remains of an ancient hut used by shepherds during alpine grazing: it has a photovoltaic system for electricity and a wood stove for heating. The objective of this structure is to teach love and respect for the mountains: to do this, it organizes dedicated educational itineraries, with lessons covering botany, zoology, geology and hiking.
