The Valley of Biodiversity, a section of Astino within Bergamo's Botanical Garden, is a thematic park dedicated to plants that feed the planet. It is well integrated into the monastic landscape and poetically combines the discovery of agricultural biodiversity with a desire for reconciliation with nature. Here, from April to November, you can observe a thousand varieties of food plants divided by families and marked by the seasons. From 2025, the Valley has been enriched with a new section, an apiary park titled Cities, Bees, Plants and People: the park aims to bring the public closer to the important theme of pollination, a fundamental phenomenon for the functioning of ecosystems and food production.
