
THE MILL OF SCATTERED WATER OF GRONE ---
The last functioning mill in Val Cavallina is located between the Cherio river and the Colli di San Fermo. There was a time when Val Cavallina was dotted with mills that exploited the rushing waters of the Cherio. Now they have all disappeared, except one: the mill of scattered water at Grone, which still grinds using hydraulic and electric energy. The good news is that you can visit it and observe up close this wooden structure from the 1930s still in excellent condition, nestled in a green oasis far from city life. Do you know why it's called "of scattered water"?
