Church of San Bernardino ---

Probably built after the saint's two visits to the city (1419-1422), it stands at the entrance of via Pignolo. Reconsecrated by the bishop in 1593, possibly after radical restoration, it was progressively decorated. Between the 8th and 9th centuries it acquires its current neo-gothic appearance. It features a single nave divided into 5 bays and a gabled facade. The altarpiece of the main altar is a work by Lorenzo Lotto (1521). The church is managed by the Parish of Sant'Alessandro in Croce. Since March 5, 2024 it has been closed for inspections and structural works.
