Located on the west shore of the splendid Lake Iseo, between Riva di Solto and Lovere, lies the charming town of Castro. Discover the historic center, characterized by narrow streets and houses closely built against the lake, constructed around the old parish church. Now deconsecrated, it has been replaced by the new parish church, built in 1969 and still dedicated to San Giacomo. Visit the Church of the Nativity of Mary: known as Madonna del cimitero, built in the XIII century and enlarged two centuries later, it houses frescoes dating back to the XVI century. On the summit of the hill that dominates Castro, you can instead visit the small church of San Lorenzo, which dates back to the XII century.
