Arnosto ---
Stone masonry, arched portals, traces of frescoes, yet what truly characterizes this village is the profile of its roofs covered with slate, adorned with a mantle of limestone slabs. We are at approximately 1000 meters altitude, Arnosto, a small village clinging to the Valle Imagna, on the soft slopes of the Orobian Prealps. Already the road that will lead you to Fuipiano, the town of which Arnosto is a hamlet, is part of the spectacle. A series of hairpin turns will gift you, at every curve, a new suggestive viewpoint over the valley. What awaits you is a village where time has stopped at the end of the eighteenth century, when the Venetian Customs House still functioned. Here indeed the lands of the Serenissima ended and the Duchy of Milan began.
