Ancient Mill of Cusio ---

Restored to its original splendor by a recent renovation, the Ancient Mill tells the story not only of the Brembana valley, but of much of rural Italy. Built in stone and slate, inside you can admire the original wooden gears of a construction dating back over 150 years. Today as then, the power of water drives the mill wheel which, in turn, sets the grinding in motion. You can visit the Ancient Mill throughout the year and have a direct experience of flour production thanks to the Corn Route. Your journey along the corn road begins in a cultivated field, to discover how to grow this cereal in the mountains.
